Facebook advertisers has canceled their advertising due to their display of adds next to dubious content.Facebook advertisement has been withdrew by the first Direct, Halifax, Vodafone, AA, Virgin Media, and Prudential after it was disclosed that their advertisements had been displayed on the facebook page of the BNP (British National Party).
Vodofone's UK rival orange had their adds on the facebook page of the Aryan Satan Worshiping. The only question is whether this is the thin end of the wedge.
Facebook and other social networking sites should find out a way to provide a filtered delivery of the advertising soon, or else the advertisers will take their business somewhere else.
